There are a lot of women in our community who are C suite and senior heavy hitters. They share the network and the knowledge amongst themselves. Our job is to give that exchange a room, and to bring the next women in.

Learning at Brown Girls, Money Moves is exactly that. Angel Investing 101 for the women one to three years away from their first check. Panel programming with founders, investors, and the operators already in the cap table. Workshops on the deal mechanics, the math, the language, the lens.

What a check actually looks like, end to end.

Introduction to angel investing, the lens, the asset class, the why. Built for the senior woman new to the room, or one to three years away from her first check.

02 · Deal mechanics

Terms, structures, dilution, follow ons, the words to use in the room.

How to read a deck, a cap table, and a term sheet. The diligence questions the women already in the room ask before they sign.

03 · Lens setting

How to pick founders, industries, and bets that align with who you are.

SAFEs, priced rounds, SPVs, and what you are signing. Plain English on the instruments, the vocabulary, and the moments where founders need you to know what you are reading.

04 · Portfolio building

Sizing, pacing, and diversification across stages.

Returns, dilution math, follow on logic, and the portfolio shape that lets a woman write small checks and sleep at night.
