The community side of brown girl capital

A room of our own.

For women who were raised to be careful with money. Now learning, together, how to grow it, move it, and pass it on. Chai. Conversation. Capital. The aunties who taught us to save are watching us learn to invest, and they are proud.

From the founder
Bhargavi Varma
Founder, Brown Girls Money Moves

We grew up with women who knew the price of every spice in the grocery store but had never been asked the price of a share. Women who could feed thirty people from an unfilled fridge but did not know that the word index fund existed. Women who, when the rishta came, had savings, but no investments. Who, when the raise came, had pride, but no plan.

Brown Girls Money Moves is for them, and for us. A members community for senior South Asian women, the ones who have done the careful saving and are ready, now, to learn what comes after. Knowledge, net worth, network. With a side of chai.

We are not a fund. We are not a financial advisor. We are not your aunty's money talk. We are the didi version. The older sister who actually went and figured it out, and came back to tell you the rest of it over chai. We meet in living rooms and small restaurants and members clubs. We learn from each other. And we stop calling it boring.

Log kya kahenge? They'll say she got the raise. And the room. And the return.
